Backscatter

The Backscatter M52 Wide Angle Lens is a must have for any Olympus TG shooter that wants to shoot larger objects like shipwrecks, reef scenes, and the larger denizens of the reef. The lens expands the field of view out to a very wide 120 degrees, allowing one to get closer to the primary foreground subject, which allows for more contrast and clarity by shooting through less water.

While I used the Backscatter M52 Wide Angle Lens for all the wide angle shots I took this week, the wreck of the M.V. Keith Tibbets is perhaps the best example of what you can do with this lens. It allowed me to get close enough to the wreck that I can light the foreground with strobes allows for some stunning images. The image quality is excellent with sharp image detail.

The lens is extremely versatile, with some zoom through capability, and can be easily removed underwater to shoot macro and fish portrait type shots. It's small size and lightweight design make it easy to travel with a get great results for any level of TG shooter.
