OVERVIEW
Returning to the spectacular waters of Little Cayman, the 23rd annual Digital Shootout brought together aspiring underwater photographers and filmmakers from around the world for two unforgettable weeks of learning, diving, creative inspiration, and fun. More than just a workshop, the Digital Shootout combines hands-on and classroom instruction with real-world shooting opportunities, along with the support of a welcoming community, for an experience unlike any other.
Throughout the event, attendees participated in more than 30 educational seminars led by over a dozen of the industry’s most respected professionals. From basic camera settings and lighting to composition, post-processing, and storytelling, each session was designed to help participants build new skills, refine existing techniques, and gain fresh creative perspectives, whether they were picking up a camera for the first time or had years of experience behind the lens.
The learning and fun extend well beyond the classroom. Attendees have the opportunity to dive with the latest cameras, housings, lighting, and optics, testing equipment from leading manufacturers such as Backscatter and Nauticam. Combined with incredible diving, expert instruction, and lifelong friendships formed throughout the event, it’s easy to see why the Digital Shootout is the world’s premier underwater imaging experience.
