The Nauticam WWL-1B is a very versatile lens for wide angle video and photo. With a zoom range of about 130 down to 70 degrees it’s the perfect range for video to get that wide establishing shot, the medium shot, and the tight shot all with one lens. For photo, newbies usually like a slightly narrower lens so they don’t have to get as close as with a fisheye lens and it makes strobe placement more forgiving for the new shooter. If 130 degrees isn’t your jam and you need something wider, a fisheye lens will do the trick, or look at the Nauticam FCP with its 170 degrees of coverage and zoom capability.
